How Swipr Protects Your Privacy

Phone masking, data encryption, and privacy-by-design.

Swipr is built with privacy protection at every level. Here is how we keep your personal information safe.

Phone Number Masking

When you communicate with a service provider through Swipr, your actual phone number is never shared. Instead, calls are routed through Twilio, our telephony partner, using temporary proxy numbers. The provider sees a Swipr relay number, not your personal number. This masking is automatic and requires no setup on your part.

Limited Data Sharing

Providers only receive the minimum information needed to perform your service: your first name, service address, service details, and a masked phone number. They do not receive your last name, email address, payment details, or any other personal information.

Data Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and Swipr’s servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Your payment information is processed by Stripe using AES-256 encryption, and Swipr never stores your full card number. Data at rest in our databases is also encrypted.

Canadian Data Storage

Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services servers in the Montreal, Canada region. This means your personal information stays in Canada, subject to Canadian privacy law. For full details on our privacy practices, see our Privacy Notice.
